The Volturno River running alongside the city of Capua.
A part of the city's fortifications, the "Fortress called Lunetta" and the "Fortress called Sapone”, is visible, which, along with the bastions in the southern area unprotected by the Volturno, makes the city impregnable. The Sapone bastion was named after some mills that stood in that area, demolished in 1730; in the presence of this fortification, an islet, now disappeared, can be observed.
